Karma - Here is how the karma system works.

You earn karma power by:
- 1 point for each year of membership
- 1 point for each 250 posts
- 1 point for every 50 karma points you earn

The amount of karma you earn is based on the karma power the person giving you karma has. So if I have a karma power of 8 and give you good karma then your karma increases by 8 points.

Here are other rules
- you can only give 10 people karma per day
- you have to give 10 different people karma before you can give the same member karma again
- all members have 10 karma points by default
- If a member has less then 5 karma points their "karma hits" do not count towards any other members until they get their karma back above 5.

Click the User CP link located at the top of every page to view your karma comments and subcribed threads.

Feel free to practice anything in this thread.

Hi, I was browsing several threads and noticed that some of them had red text that said that links have been removed because advertising isn't allowed.

Does that mean that we can't link or mention any other website? Just wanted to know what the rules are for that. i.e. If I pulled a recipe off of another website, tried it and wanted to share with you guys, do I just tell you where to go, or just paste the recipe in? I don't want to take credit for someone else's recipe.

Thanks!

If you want to post a link to where you found a recipe, thats okay.

Sometimes new members sign up to promote their site and include a link in every post - we do not allow that.

If you have a website (1), you can put it in your signature. If you are not sure about posting a link, you can ask/PM a Moderator.

Thanks for this! I figured out what ISO was, but was confused on TNT and REC (I thought REC meant recomended ;) silly me. now I have a really dumb question, but what is DH? I see it in various posts, but have no clue what it means.

Thanks,
