ISO Apple Confit Recipe

Had the Tv on this AM, walking around & caught a few seconds of KABC-TV - Regis. The chef prepared an apple confit (baked - with layers & layers of sliced apples), with pistachio ice cream and whipped cream (as I recall). Did a search on channel 7, but unable to locate the recipe. Can anyone provide a link? TIA
