Cake Roll or Eclair?

I have guests coming on Friday and I am confused what to make for Dessert, I chose 2 desserts but I don't know what to pick "Cake Roll " or " E'clair " So please Help !

My question as well.

However, whether or not you've made either one, serving might be a consideration. Cake rolls make a lovely presentation, but require cutting. Eclairs present well, too, but you can make smaller single-portion sizes so each guest has their own. Plus a pedestal stand with a collection of eclairs on it is beautiful.

IMO, eclairs are easier to make than rolled cakes. They are very simple.

I vote for the eclairs!

Choux paste can also be piped into a ring or crown for an easy yet dramatic looking dessert. Also if you have some children coming try piping some swans. Just a cream puff and some " S " shapes for the neck. Cut the top in two and stick them on to resemble wings and pop on the s for a head.

If you have extra shells you can also fill them with ice cream and pop them in the freezer. When you need a great dessert just pull them out and drizzle a little hot fudge sauce on them.

I say, make a crockenbush. I'm jsut kidding. I vote for eclairs as well, with a nice stawberry pastry creem filling.
