Thanks for sharing this.
There are a few of these that I've done: not thoroughly reading the recipe first, casually measuring ingredients (sometimes I don't measure at all, just estimate and dump into the pan), turning food too often, and not letting the pan get hot first.
I do enjoy tasting as I go. That's the best part.
