I have been really aching for a specific type of meatballs. What I am looking for is bitesize meatballs in a barbeque sauce. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips that might help me?

Thanks, Jessica

This is the one that I use:

Here's what you'll need:

For the Meatballs:

2 lb hamburger
1/2 cup crackers, crushed
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
2 eggs
2 tbsp worchestershire sauce
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tbsp onion

For The Sauce

2 cups ginger ale
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Here's what you need to do:

Mix all of the meatball ingredients together and form into 1" balls. (These can be frozen until ready to use.)

Combine ginger ale, barbecue sauce, salt and pepper in a large skillet. Bring to a boil. Add meatballs and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are done (40 to 45 minutes).

Here's one that's a little different.

1 lb. pork sausage
1 beaten egg
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. sage
Form into balls, brown and cook til done. Drain well. I bake these in the oven.

1/2 cup catsup
2 T. brown sugar
1 T. vinegar
1 T. soy sauce
Mix together and pour over meatballs and simmer.

Makes about 30 small appetizer-size meatballs. I usually double or triple this.

Hello,

Thanks Mama! I tried them out one night and my husband said he also liked them.

There are a couple of variations you can do on the sauce. Growing up we would mix the BBQ sauce with apricot preserves and cook the meatballs in that in a slow cooker. Others on here have been using a BBQ/grape jelly sauce.
Both are real tasty!
