Dutch oven cooking with briquettes

I discovered that my large stock pile of charcoal briquettes has been attacked by mice. They have eaten holes in the paper bags. Has this happened to anyone else and how did you get rid of the mice. Did you still use the briquettes?

I would think they are just after the paper to use for a nest! I would use them.

I've never had this happen, but I would throw the bag of charcoal out and buy a new bag, and store it in a tub with a lid. I don't think I could enjoy my grilled meat without thinking about mice pee and saliva and all...might just be me, though.

If your cooking with a dutch oven it never comes in contact with the food anyway!
