I have done many in the oven. You might want to cook it 90% in the oven and smoke it at the end. The rib cut is the King cut and the section between the ribs is the Queen cut. So a 3 rib roast ending with ribs will serve 5 people. 3 King cuts and 2 Queen cuts.

Poke slits on the fat side and insert sliced garlic. Heavily S&P all sides....I mean HEAVY.
