Malaysian Barbecue Pork
1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. Accent 1 Tbsp. sugar 1 Tbsp. honey 1 Tbsp. soy sauce 2 Tbsp. sesame oil 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 Tbsp. soybean sauce 1 tsp. sesame paste 2 Tbsp. dry sherry or rice wine 1 tsp. tomato sauce 1 spring leek or 1 small onion, chopped fine 1 pound pork tenderloin Rinse pork and cut into strips, 2" x 1" long. Make marinade by thoroughly combining all other ingredients. Place pork strips in marinade and leave for several hours, turning a few times. Grill over coals for about 15 minutes. Brush with marinade and grill for 15 more minutes. Serve hot with rice. This is sold by vendors in the streets of Malaysia. |
