Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

12" DO

FILLING
1- 29oz can Pumpkin
3tsp. pumpkin pie spice
3 eggs
1C. sugar
1/2tsp salt
1 tsp Vanilla
1C evaporated milk
TOPPING
1 pkg yellow cake mix
1C chopped pecans
1C butter

Procedure

mix all filling ingredients & pour into a 12" greesed DO. cut butter into cake mix with pastry blender or fork,sprinkle mixture over filling, then mix nuts in. Sprinkle over filling mix. cook for about 1 hour. 15 coals on top & 9 underneath
 
That sounds delicious. Thanks for posting. I don't have a dutch oven however. Think it would be okay in an oven?
 
I'm sure it would...give it a try. It will cook about 325 in the oven.

I've also made this recipe. To make it in your oven at home, use a 13- x 9-inch baking dish and cook at 350 degrees.
