QUICK SOUR DOUGH BREAD

Ingredients

2 c. starter
1 t. dry yeast
3 T. warm water
3 T sugar
1-1/2 t. salt
3 T powdered milk
2 T. melted shortning or veg. oil
3-4 c. flour

Procedure

Measure out sour dough starter. In small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water, add to sourdough starter along with sugar, salt, milk, oil. Mix well. Slowly add flour till dough pulls away from side of bowl. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead till smooth and elastic.. Shape dough into a loaf, (this is where I shape it into a ball and place in a greased 12" DO.) Cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place till doubled. Bake at 350* foir 50 minutes or untill brown. I use 24 coals, 8 on bottom, 16 on top.
