Solid Gas Stove
i just wanted a few more pros and cons on the solid gas stoves. how long do they burn for? how many blocks do i need to use and does it depend on what i'm cooking?
I can't take a gas stove to the festval i'm going to, so is it worth taking a solid gas stove or just put up with cold food for a weekend?

I am not familiar with the solid gas stoves so I can't help you there, but what festival are you going to? Is it a music fest? Most of them have food vendors that have some really tasty stuff. It will be more expensive than bringing your own food, but you can get a hot filling meal and not have to worry about cooking.

Solid gas? Do you mean like the little cans of stuff used for chafing dishes:
