Toasted Campfire Cakes
I used to do this with Angel Food cake and found it hard to keep the cake on the stick. So I tried it with some day old French bread and it was great. This is messy, so I like to keep a bowl of water near by to rinse off my fingers. It's so worth the mess though.
Enjoy! Debbie

TOASTED CAMPFIRE CAKES

FRENCH BREAD; 1 Or 2 Day Old.
1 can(s) SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK
SALTED NUTS; Finely Chopped.
COCONUT
_____

Cut French bread into good bite sized chunks.
Remove any crust from bread.
Spoon milk over bread or dip bread in the condensed milk.
Coat the dipped bread in nuts then coconut.
Place on a stick and toast over a campfire until toasty.

Thanks Lee. I'm glad you like the photo. The picture was taken right next to the fire.
