Best way to send a pie by mail?

Has any one ever sent a pie care package? I've sent cookies, but this year wanted to try sending a pie to a friend...but I'm not sure what the best way to that would be. Any one have any advice? Thanks!

Call the UPS store, etc. They can probably tell you how to do it. Probably have to freeze it and ship it on dry ice.
