Cream pie filling question

Does anyone have a cream pie recipe which does not include eggs or egg yolks? What effect do the egg yolks have on the recipe? Is there a substitute you can use for egg yolks? Would it change the flavor? The ones I've seen include yolks for the basic vanilla cream pie mixture. I was hoping to find a recipe that you would not have to bake.

I have never seen a cream pie that didn't include egg yolks. You might want to try looking for recipes for chiffon pies that are thicken with gelatin and whipping cream. I have a cream pie recipe that is cooked in a double boiler, then put into a baked shell, and chilled to set. Is that what you are looking for, or are you just trying to avoid egg yolks?
