ISO Buttermilk Chess Pie

Does anyone have any variations on tried and true recipes of this pie besides butter, flour, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla? That seems a bit boring now on my pie. Thanks.

Miss Dina....

Not TNT but you may want to consider, adding nutmeg, and/or lemon juice/zest. I'vee never tried it, but I have heard of adding pecans. Then a big dollop of Kool Whip on top of a slice can be a nice addition.

Enjoy!

Dina, while I haven't tried it, this recipe uses the addition of coconut:

Taste: Buttermilk pie: It's a time-honored dessert

Thanks Uncle Bob and Amy! I made both of these today and they were wonderful.
