ISO Buttermilk Chess Pie

Does anyone have any variations on tried and true recipes of this pie besides butter, flour, buttermilk,eggs and vanilla? That seems a bit boring now on my pie. Thanks.

Not TNT but you may want to consider, adding nutmeg, and/or lemon juice/zest. I'vee never tried it, but I have heard of adding pecans. Then a big dollop of Kool Whip on top of a slice can be a nice addition.
