Mincemeat with Rum Sauce

Years ago I worked at Marie Callendar's Pies. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, we had Mince pie with rum sauce. That is the best stuff ever!!!
I can make the mince pie, but does anyone have a recipe for the hot rum sauce?

Hello, I sure hope you are still a part of this community because I grew up having Marie Calendars mince pies every Christmas at my grandparents house and I recently found out that MC no longer makes them. I have 2 questions: do you still have the pie recipe and did you ever find out how to make that delicious rum sauce that was sold in the blue containers with MC’s mince pies? I know it’s really a shot in the dark that you will see this, but one can hope! Thank you!

Was the sauce butter based? Could it have been "hard sauce"?

This was always our secret recipe for mincemeat pie.

We always served it with a piece of extra sharp cheddar cheese.

This bottled mincemeat can also be thinned a little, flamed with rum or brandy, and ladled over premium vanilla ice cream for an easy tad-dah dessert.
