Something a little different as an idea for a Thanksgiving desert.

Pecan Tarts
Crust
1pkg 3oz cream cheese
1/4lb butter
1c flour.
Cream together butter and cream cheese. Blend in flour. Form a ball and refrigerate at least 1 hr or until ready to use.

Filling
1c pecans, chopped
3/4c brown sugar
1Tbs melted butter
1 egg
1tsp vanilla
pinch of salt

Add and mix all filling ingred. Take dough and cut into 24 pieces. Work into mini muffin tin forming cups...add 1tsp of filling. Bake for 15 min..cool..sprinkle w/powdered sugar.
As a variation add some chocolate chips to mix.
Or top each mini tart w/fresh whipped cream.
Dont like pecans..use walnuts....
Enjoy!!

Great recipe. I have one that is really similar, but uses wonton skins fitted into mini tins for the crust. It is easy to do and a bit easier on the waistline. Of course since they are bite-size, it means that you can eat more, right?
