Storage tips: can I freeze baked pastry?

My eyes were bigger than the number of mouths I had to feed yesterday and so I have a lot of leftover pie. Can I freeze it or will the crust become too soggy when thawed?

sorta depends on filling of pie. fruit pies freeze well, custard not so much.

crust seems to be ok for me.

also the type of crust makes diference. I say you have nothig to loose. Either you throw away now when it goes bad or freeze it and if it is not good after defrosting you dump it then.

There are loads of frozen pies on the market - meat, vege, fruit, etc that heat up very well. Home made even better. You need to reheat appropriate for the pastry though.
