Swiss Apple Pie
This is from Living History Farms cookbook. It uses lots of apples and is super easy. It freezes well.
4 cups sliced apples.
1T sugar
1tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 egg
Dash salt
Place apples in pie plate or oblong dish. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Combine butter and remaining ingredients; spread over apples. Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes. Good served slightly warm with ice cream.
