Buttercream frosting questions

Buttercream seems to mean different things to different people. My buttercream is eggs, sugar syrup & butter.

Sometimes I make buttercream with a creme anglais and butter.

To some people buttercream is confectioners' sugar and butter and milk.

What's yours?
 
Basically sugar butter and milk with flavoring. Freezes very well.

Can you post the recipe with eggs, sugar, syrup and butter? It sounds really good, and I would love to try it sometime. Thanks!
 
I use the recipe straight out of Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking.

That's sugar syrup, cooked to a softball stage, not sugar & syrup.
