Cheese Cake question

If a recipe called for a 9" pan but you only have a 9.5" pan will it negatively effect the cheese cake? I am planning on making a new york style cheesecake to bring to my family Christmas dinner.

It will just be a little thinner and will likely bake a tiny bit faster.

No, that is not a big enough difference to have an impact, it just won't be as tall. Enjoy the cheesecake!
