He strikes me as a straight laced, black-and-white type guy. I'm not very experienced with tributes but maybe a chocolate/white marble cupcake frosted to look like a classic black and white suit and tie combo?

I haven't heard much of his music, but he did a great collaboration on the Barenaked Ladies' holiday album. "Elf's Lament," if you haven't heard it, is a really clever song.
