I'm not sure how you can comment on the qualities of a cake you don't have a recipe for, and have never made.

The original question was I had a dense yellow cake. What was it?

In my responses, and others, I attempted to find out more about it.

You offered the 1234 cake--which I HAVE made, DO have a recipe for, HAVE eaten many times and which we had a sort of disagreement about whether I consider it as dense as YOU consider it. It is all in the realm of taste and differentiation--but also in reading.

I never said I had a recipe for a dense yellow cake.

I stand by my suggestion that the OP make the 1234 cake (or go to the bakery and ask if it IS a 1234 cake) and see if that is what she is looking for. Maybe it will be dense to her.
