Blueplate mentioned this cake in a post, so, having a craving for soft, moist gingerbread around Christmas time, I looked it up.

MAN, was it fantastic!!! Very gingery and almost as moist as my stepmom's famous rumcake!

Sorry I don't have a photo of a cut piece, but it was deep, dark brown and you could SEE the moistness. I'll never make those crummy old crunchy cookies again!

Thanks for this one. It looks like a special treat after daughter gets moved into her new (older) home in about three weeks. Kinda think it would be a nice celebration. Hope I can do it.

i'm not a baker, but i may try this one on your recommendation. i love moist gingerbreads.
 
i too enjoy moist gingerbread. or even not moist ginger bread, in dire times..
