HELP Forgot to add Vanilla HELP!!!

I am making a white cake cut into four layers with whipped cream and strawberries on each layer.

I forgot to add the vanilla. Am I hosed? Started second batter and it seems too thick. Did not have anymore cake flour so I used AP sifted six times.

Help? What do I do?

The one with no vanilla will be fine...assuming everything else went ok

Actually tastes OK

It has cooked enough for me to have pulled a little crumb out of it that will be hidden. Tastes pretty god, but I can tell the vanilla is missing.

Add extra vanilla to the whipped cream and you may not miss the flavor in the cake.

Add a little more liquid to the AP flour batter. AP flour has a higher protein content than cake flour and absorbs more liquid than cake flour. Next time, if you use AP in place of cake flour, use a little less AP flour.

I've read that when using AP flour in place of cake flour you should use 1 T. less from each cup.
