I discovered a delicious cake glaze.

I am new to baking, so everybody in this forum likely has more experience than I do with making cakes, but I will give my discovery anyway.

Ingredients
Lemon juice
Honey
Chinese 5 spice mix.

Put all ingredients in a pot, and warm until some of the liquid evaporates. Pour over a freshly baked cake. Then put the cake back in the after heat, of the oven.

This is very interesting. What flavor cake do you put it on?

Isn't it just incredible when you discover something new, at the very least, new to you? I have many recipes that fit that theme.

Let me give you one piece of advice. When you do discover smething you really like, write it down immediately, before you have a chance to forget the recipe.

For instance, I was trying to re-create the KFC chicken flavor, and got it right!. But do you think I had sense enough to write dow the herbs and spices I used? Nope. If I want to get that flavor again, I need to reinvent the wheel yet again.

Anyway, congrats on your new recipe; and I hope you have many more. To me, it's what makes cooking fun.
