Sometime earlier in the year, Martha Stewart made one on her program and here's a link to her recipe. The cake looked delicious and I haven't had the taste of one, but after looking at the program and the recipe, I think I'll need to make one. At least this recipe gets you started.

I also did a search on this site and discovered this recipe. I didn't compare this to Martha's but you can, at least, get some direct feedback from the member who posted it.

Nothing wrong with these two links and marmalady's would constitute TNT, and so would Martha's if you ask her! Thank you for taking the time to search these out Katie!!

I've never heard of hummingbird cake before so I'm going to go check on those links. It isn't made with hummingbirds is it? Heeheehee...(OK, sorry folks, not enough coffee in my system yet, I'm still a little silly)

Good one, Alix.

Check out this link from the Food Timeline for some interesting information on the hummingbird cake. Just click on "hummingbird cake" at the top of the page. There's even another recipe, supposedly the original one.
