Whipped Cream frosting question

1. If I make a whipped cream frosting, will it stand up to several hours of storage (including an hour car trip) until we eat it?

2. How would you make it? Is there a difference between Whipped Cream and Whipped Cream Frosting?!?!

bumping your thread Jill as I haven't got the foggiest other than to suggest that infusing the cream I would think was the way to go.

Thanks Bilby, maybe I'll edit down all of my rambling in the initial post. No one wants to read what's in my head! I'll just ask about the whipped frosting..

I found a thread about "stabilizing" whipped cream by adding either gelatin, cream of tartar or pudding mix. Is this something I should always do for whipped cream frosting?
