I've got a co-worker whose birthday celebration is on friday, and I'ma make him a cake to save us from the horror of supermarket confection.

He's Indian, and I've noticed in the past that we have very different tastes. So I was subtley asking him what desserts he liks, like halwa, barfi, kulfi, gulab jamon. It turns out he likes milk based desserts like kulfi. So I'm a little stumped --- I don't know many milk "cakes". I'm thinking of making Dulche Tres Leche, but have never done so before... Anyone got any tips, or ideas for something else milky I can make? The only other idea I came up with was condensed milk cupcakes, but he doesn't like super sweet things so...

Maybe he will like an angel food cake with some Indian dessert spices in it. I know that there is cardamom in Kulfi and sometimes pistachio so maybe some ground up pistachio and cardamom can be added to the batter. Angel food cake is not really milky but it is not too sweet so he may like it. Good luck!
