Does anyone have a rescipe for a cake that would "wow" people? And tips on decorating it would be good too.

Well, I'd suggest my Firenza Chocolate Ecstacy Strawberry Shortcake with whipped cream,

but you have to have a the Firenza Chocolate Ecstacy cake mix and a tiara cake pan, both of which are few and far between.

Are you looking for this kind of cakes?

Let me know if you like to have one of the recipes. I'll translate it.

ok somehow I felt compelled to buy the Firenza Chocolate Ecstacy cake mix from the site Caine gave us. In addition, I bought 1 tiara cake pan from ebay. I'm not much of a baker and would rather cook, but can't pass trying to make this up. "LOL".

I made the firenza chocolate cake Caine told us about. Haven't tried it yet though. Here is a picture. I ended up pulsing the strawberries and than just put one layer of slices on the top

The cake was a hit at my dads cookout. Everyone enjoyed it even if they were pretty full from the cookout ; )

Here's a pic for a cake that I made recently, chocolate banana ... if you like it, you can find the recipe on my website under "cakes"...

wowie - that looks good. I might have to try it some time. I wonder if I can some how incorporate it into my tiara pan. I'm not too much into baking and recently bought a tiara pan "what I made the choc strawberry estasy cake with". I'm looking to practice making a few things in that pan.

I think I remember seeing some recipes especially for tiara pans. Let me check and I'll get back to you. In the mean time, if you replace the strawberries with cherries, and just pipe some whipped cream around the circumference of the cake, you have a black forest cake. You could also fill the indentation with mousse, or custard, using just about any flavor cake and any flavor mousse or custard.

I once again made the choc. estasy strawberry shortcake using the Firenza mix for fathers day. It was a great hit and people loved it. Although they loved the homemade from scratch carrot cake as well.
