My little lad is 3 next month. Train Cake?

My little lad is 3 next month. Train or tractor Cake?

We want to do a train or tractor cake for him, but we dont know how
can anyone help me with recipes and etc

Happy birthday!!! I used to have a book with some differently shaped cakes in it... I think one was a train. I'll try to find it.
 
No problem. I haven't seen it in years though so I'm not sure I still have it.
 
Since he is 3 years old, I was thinking just bake a cake in a rectangular pan, cut it up into sections like trains, frost it, and decorate it with his favorite toppings. For example, connect the trains with string licorice, add candy dots for windows..etc. I think it would be more fun to make your own cake for him.
 
To this day I remember my 4th birthday and cake. We were with my grandparents in Seattle and I had a "Lake Washington cake" with floating bridge, cars, sail boats, etc. Too pretty to eat.

A train cake will make a great impression! Great idea.
