WOW! That's all we can say about our King Cake. Easy to make and awesomely delicious.

I looked at about a half dozen recipes before I settled on this one and am I ever glad I did.

I don't need to post a picture because mine came out exactly like the one pictured in the link. I even put a bunch of colored beads on the cake plate.

I didn't have the Steen's syrup, can't get it here, so I mixed a 2/1 mixture of white corn syrup and molasses. Worked perfectly. Thanks everyone for all the advice and suggestions on that point.

Try the cake. It's wonderful.

There's even a baby trinket somewhere in the cake. No one got it tonight, though.
 
I've never tasted one. :( But from following Katie's link I think I should! It looks and sounds yummy.
