Question: cupcakes

i just made some vanilla cupcakes and they are all greasy on the bottom and i dont know why

any ideas? i havent tried one yet, as they are still cooling. i hope they will still be edible

was it a mix or from scratch. did you use butter or oil.

aye, that might be helpful info.

it was butter. made them from scratch.

they seem to taste ok. i think but not as fluffy as i a box mix usually is

me thinks i need someone else to try one as well.

How much butter did you use? I'm thinking the batter could have not been combined well with the dry ingredients. Would you provide more information on what process you used?

You can send all the cupcakes you want to me! I'll taste test em for ya Does sound like too much butter probably over mixed. If you overmix some recipes, they seem to separate later
