I made this cake in it was your usual flour, butter, eggs,b. powder, vanilla, milk. You know the usual. Then the recipe called for 1 Tablespoon Caraway seed. It turned out really good. My questions are would it have benefited me any to grind the caraway seeds for more flavor or not. Also when you bake it you are supposed to put it in a 9X5 loaf pan. What would be a good topping for this item when we eat it? Thanks in advance.

Its really up to you on grinding it or not...Yes it will bring out a lil more flavor, but I would just rough mince it if anything. Take it little by little until you get the best flavor you are looking for...Experiment!

my mum just made one of these yesterday! She was going to bake it in a round tin - Victoria sponge cake type but ended up in a square one when she could find it. Can guarantee my mum would not have ground the seeds up. think she wouuld be having herrs plain.
