Sponge cake with meringue decoration

How do you normally make meringue decoration? They are easier to shape than whipped cream, and still has a good texture and flavour.

I've experimented with meringue for many times. Below pictures are one of my recent effort.

Please feel free to share your ideas!

Aside from Lemon Meringue Pie and Pavlovas, I've never thought to use it for anything else. That smell of rubber is my brain starting to work...
