“Surprise” Cupcakes

This is a tradition that my mother-in-law started. We usually have this or brownies at her house.

“Surprise” Cupcakes​

1[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Box White Cake Mix (or whatever you have on hand) – Prepare as directed.

Combine in bowl –

2[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]1- 8oz Cream cheese (room temperature)
1/8 tsp salt
1/3 C granulated sugar
1 egg beaten
1 – 6oz package chocolate chips

3[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Fill cupcake papers ½ - ¾ full
4[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Drop 1 tsp of cream cheese mixture in center of each cupcake
5[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Bake 25-30 minutes @ 350°

Shoot. I wish I had seen this this morning. I made chcolate cc.s this morning, before the sun came up and it got too hot. As much as I love the standard one's I always make, these would have been a nice change.
