Made cake today for MIL birthday but overestimated the amount of ganache I would need and have about half of it left (bear in mind this was the filling for a 6 layer sandwich cake so quite a lot).
Problem is the stuff gives me a migraine, neither of the kids will eat it and there is no way dh can eat all of it himself (he'll give it a good go mind you
). Also we don't eat cake at home as none of us are big fans except for dh who doesn't have a big appetite.
Is it possible to freeze it or how long will it keep in the fridge. Or any other ideas of what to do with it will be fab.
