let me preface by saying that this may be a dumb question,
BUT
will cookies taste weird if you dont add the vanilla extract?
we dont have any in our house and im really trying to avoid going to the grocery store.

Cristina,

I guess it depends on the type of cookies. If they are vanilla cookies, then yes, they will probably taste weird! Vanilla really does add a nice flavor to cookies, but it shouldn't hurt to go without. Do you have any other extracts that might be good it its place? You might want to experiment. And no, it was not a dumb question!

I think they would be O K, but not wierd. You will probaly notice that lovely flavor missing from it.

Personally I think that they would be OK but it depends on what kind of cookies you are making, sometimes the other incredients (chocolate chips, oatmeal, coconut) can cover for the vanilla.
