Crisp Ginger snaps

I have looked at alot of ginger snaps recipes and tried a few.
I love the ones you buy in the bags that are crisp in the stores
Does anyone have a recipe that would get the same results.
I have left them in the oven alittle longer and then I get a overdone taste instead.

Would using a "gingerbread man" recipe, as opposed to a gingersnap recipe work? My gingerbread men were always a lot crunchier than the snaps.
