Devil’s Food Cookies

Does anyone remember Nabisco’s devil food cookies? Or still enjoy their fat free iteration by Snackwell’s? I actually don’t remember the originals by Nabisco, but I still buy myself a package of Snackwell’s every now and then (Snackwell’s is owned by Nabisco, btw). Do NOT get the store brand; they’re really dry!

Anyway, I thought it’d be fun to make a reasonable facsimile (the fat-full version), and was surprised to turn up only one recipe on the web! It seems like a good recipe, you can find it here, but it’d be nice to have at least a few different recipes to compare.

Does anyone have any ideas? No rush, I’m not planning on making them for Christmas!

I've had the Snackwells version.

They are horrible, unless that's all you have that's sweet and chocolatey. Then they're great with milk.

Until you get some real chocolate. Then they suck again.
