I don't want to be repetitive if someone else has started this.
I know with the holidays coming close, some of us are willing to start the season's baking of cookies already.
I went into the sweets category and found that someone had put a link in there for Christmas cookies. Man is it ever interesting and so helpful too.
I was wondering if in here, or on here, anyone would be willing to post just one recipe for all of us to be able to copy and paste into making our own Christmas cookie exchange cyber cookbook.
Like I said, if it's been done forgive me please. You all know I'm still new at this site.
If it's of interest, I'll start.
Someone I met years ago told me that they'd received cookies such of this one I (then) made up. It's real simple, and if you like Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and peanut butter cookies, you'll enjoy it. I called it the following cause I'd recently seen the movie of a similar title.
"My Big Fat Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Peanut Butter Cookies"
for the cookie:
1/2 c butter (real)
1/2 c peanut butter (good quality Skippy, Jif, Peter Pan)
1/2 c brown sugar (I use dark brown sugar)
1/2 c extra fine white sugar
1 t vanilla
1 1/4 c flour
1/4 t salt
1/2 t b powder
3/4 t b soda
regular size Reeses Peanut Butter Cups
Cream the sugars and butter together until creamy.
Add the peanut butter and cream that in too.
Add vanilla to the egg and whisk.
Add egg mixture to sugar/butter mixture and combine.
Sift the flour, salt, powder and soda together.
Add to the creamed mixture.
Cover dough and chill at least 30 minutes.
Fill muffin tins with cupcake liners.
Remove all brown papers from Reeses cups.
Put one Reeses in first.
Grab enough dough to have about a small golf ball size and flatten it out between your hands to 3/4" thickness and put on top of Reeses. Now, put 'another' Reeses on top of dough and rather firmly press down.
Bake at 350Â° for about 12 minutes.
Chocolate melts (sort of) and this is such a rich decedant cookie.
No one gets many of these.
