ISO foolproof recipe for chocolate crinkles cookies

i have been searching for a good recipe for chocolate crinkles, those chewy, fudgy holiday cookies that are dusted with confection sugar. every recipe i look at online seems to have something wrong with it, judging from reading the posted public comments and reviews. does anybody have a family recipe, one that you think is especially delcious for these cookies?

Vit, I can't remember exactly who it is, but a regular here has posted just what you are looking for a couple of different times. I'm sure she will see your request, and then I can quit trying to think of who it was.

Here is one from Kadesma.

Crackletops

I used to use the Betty Crocker recipe, I noticed now it calls for oil, I could swear that when I made them years ago they called for Crisco.
