ISO Pignoli cookies

I would love to have a recipe for pignoli cookies. I have never made them but always buy them when I visit an Italian bakery. My mother never made them because she didn't like the taste of almond paste but I do. Thanks in advance.

Elaine, Gourmet magazine had a recipe in one of their 2002 issues. Take a look and see if it's something you might want to try.

I found a recipe on line so I am going to give these a try. Seems like very few ingredients, egg whites, almond paste, sugar and pignoli nuts.
