Mexican Hot Chocolate Snickerdoodles

So, I have this recipe as a VEGAN recipe, but I was wondering if anyone has a recipe that would give me the similar results without having to go get some of the vegan ingredients.

Just curious if anyone does these like a normal cookie with butter and eggs.

I ended up making Cookie Madness » Mayan Chocolate Cookies
This recipe. I don't think it has enough Cayenne in it. I added some to the cinnamon sugar coating thinking that might help, but I think it just needs more.
The first ones that I ate had an excellent big chocolate flavor, like these, but they had this wonderful back of the tongue aftertaste of peppery spice.
