These are fairly easy Are best made ahead to allow the flavors to blend. amaretti, chocolate wafers I like vanilla wafers of which you will need 18-20, put them in a baggie and crush. to make 3/4 cup of crumbs.Place in a large bowl and stir in 1/3 cup sugar, and 1/3 cup cocoa powder. add in1/2 cup soft butter. and either 1 tab. OJ or grappa or rum. Stir til dry ingredients are moist and well blended. Now stir in 1/3 cup chopped walnuts. Pour dough mix onto a piece of plastic wrap about 14 inches and roll into a log making sure to enclose the dough completely Refrigerate the log at least 24 hrs and up to 3 days. cut the log into 1/4 inch slices. serve chilled store in air tight container in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
enjoy
