I am not going to argue about health benefits, but I have to say not everybody can use butter. Some times for health reasons, some time, like with us, for dietery restrictions.
The chocolate chips cookies my wife makes with margarine are butter than the ones she makes with butter.
So not hing wrong with margarine, just have to find the right brand.

Butter is a dairy product and for those who are lactose intolerant, it is not part of their diet.
