I agree. It's a very interesting post but all but #4 are unappetizingly pale.

I 3rd that opinion - I LOVE brown, crispy-looking cookies (like your number 4) on the outside, chewy on the inside.
Great series of cookie shots though, Zereh, thanks for sharing!

I prefer thicker/plumper cookies to the flat ones. I use part brown sugar so they have some color.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I tried baking cookies again today and this time they turned out. I still can't believe that I didn't use enough flour.
I think I'll link to the cookies to help me trouble shoot next time.

I agree Andy. I want some color on my cookies. I also add ¼ tsp of baking powder to my cookie dough to give it some lift. Make the cookie more chewie.
