I had a fabulous caramel apple at the local farmers market last year and always meant to make it myself - maybe you would like to try it....

The apple was a traditional caramel coating but then rolled in a mixture of toasted sesame seeds and toasted pumpkin seeds (hull off). It was just amazing to eat.

The same vendor also had apples rolled in sesame and toasted almonds.

Forget love... I'd rather fall in chocolate!

Definitely carmel with nuts, chocolate, marshmallows, pretzel pieces, really anything that your imagination can do. If you're worried about humidity you could pack them in a cooler to keep them chilled so they won't get sticky.
