After dinner today, small and uninteresting, I felt like something sweet.

I popped some butter into a pan, added brown sugar, milk and Starbucks coffee liqueur. Brought it up to a boil and cooked until a firm softball stage.

I let that cool a bit, stirred in a little more butter and vanilla, whipped it a bit by hand then I placed in a greased bowl to cool in the refrigerator. Wow.. Very dark and tasty. Buttery carmel flavor with a nice coffee overtone....

I wish I hadn't found how easy carmels are to make... You don't even to measure.. I just toss stuff in the pan.

Haha...simple recipes are great but since they are so easy we make them a lot and then you can't stop eating! I have the same problem. That's why I make sure my neighbors get a lot of my work...

How did the color turn out on those?

Have a great day,
