Homemade Sherbet?

I really would love to try this recipe I found for homemade blackberry sherbet. I was wondering if anyone has ever successfully made serbet?

I'd love to make an orange sherbet like in the store, but both that I've tried were nothing close. I gave up.
I have made a very good Lemon sherbet a few times. It's in a cookbook I have.
